OUP are publishing today some 300 reviews and essays by Michael Steinberg when he was citic of the Boston Globe in the vibrant transitional years of 1964 to 1976. It is titled Defending the Music: Michael Steinberg at the Boston Globe,1964-1976. The book was conceived by Michael’s widow, the late violinist Jorja Fleezanis, and edited by Susan Feder and others.
