音楽監督のクリスティアン・マチェラルが、第64回カブリロ現代音楽祭を率います。「自由について（On Freedom）」と題された閉幕コンサートにおいて、ザカリー・ジェームズがフィリップ・グラスの交響曲第15番の西海岸初演を行います。彼はフェスティバル・オーケストラと共演します。
グラスの6楽章からなるこの交響曲には、奴隷解放宣言や法、権力、野心に関する考察など、エイブラハム・リンカーン自身の言葉が組み込まれています。また、プログラムにはヴィヴィアン・ファンとペドロ・エマヌエル・ペレイラによる2つの世界初演作品も含まれています。

Baritone Zachary James gives the final concert at the 2026 Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music.
Music Director Cristian Măcelaru leads the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music’s 64th season. In the closing concert titled, “On Freedom,” Zachary James gives the West Coast premiere of Philip Glass’s Symphony No. 15. He is joined by the Festival Orchestra.
Glass’ six-movement symphony incorporates Abraham Lincoln’s own words, including the Emancipation Proclamation and reflections on law, power, and ambition. Also on the program are two world premieres by Vivian Fung and Pedro Emanuel Pereira.
The concert is slated for July 31, at 8 pm.
