The Los Angeles Philharmonic has confirmed Vineta Sareika as its concertmaster from September. Vineta, 40, a Latvian by birth and nationality, was the first woman to occupy the First Concertmaster seat in the Berlin Philharmonic, which she did from 2023 to 2025.
