A judge in Melbourne has ordered the pro-Palestine pianist Jayson Gillham and the city’s symphony orchestra to seek a private settlement after three weeks of a trial that was going nowhere. Gillham had addressed a recital audience, claiming that Israel was deliberately killing journalists in Gaza. The MSO cancelled his next date after protests by subscribers. It told the court it had offered the pianist another date when he reached for lawyers.
