デヴィッド・クーパーは、2026年5月よりニューヨーク・フィルハーモニックの新しい首席ホルン奏者に就任する。以前は、ヴィクトリア交響楽団で首席ホルン奏者代行、フォートワース交響楽団で首席ホルン奏者（共同）を務めた。
また、ダラス交響楽団の首席ホルン奏者、ベルリン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団のソロ・ホルン奏者、シカゴ交響楽団の首席ホルン奏者、ロサンゼルス・フィルハーモニックの首席ホルン奏者（アソシエイト）も歴任している。

David Cooper has been appointed the role by Music and Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel
David Cooper is the new Principal Horn of the New York Philharmonic as of May 2026. Previously, he was Acting Principal Horn with the Victoria Symphony and Co-Associate Principal Horn of the Fort Worth Symphony.
He has also served as Principal Horn of the Dallas Symphony, Solo Horn of the Berlin Philharmonic, Principal Horn of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Associate Principal Horn of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
