Created by the multi-string-instrumentalist Duncan Wickel , the Wicklebuckle suspends the violin or viola through a strap, and frees the head, neck, shoulders, and hands. The Wicklebuckle, aiming to relieve tension and enable greater freedom, comprises a combination wire frame and strap apparatus that cradles the lower bouts of the instrument and connects to a strap that wraps around the player’s body on the right side.
