Myung Whun Chung, incoming music director at La Scala Milan, has let it be known that he will be maintaining commitments back home. Chung, 73, will remain artistic director for next year’s opening of the Busan Opera House. The Busan Metropolitan Government announced that it had signed a contract to extend the term of Artistic Director Myungwhun Chung, and that he will work together with the city on the mid- to long-term operational strategy and the opening festival planning for the Busan Opera House.
