The orchestra is relieved to report that the average attendance at Heinz Hall rose to half-full this season. Around 1,450 tickets were sold for each classical concert, half the hall’s capacity, but still up 14 percent on last year.
Pop concerts have continued to decline. Movie themes are doing well.
