We have been notified of the death of Chris Rice, founder and director of Altarus Records, based in the UK and the USA.
He opened his account with John Ogdon extraordinary tecording of Sorabji’s Opus Clavicembalisticum, and cintinued with major works by several by Ronald Stevenson. Other pinaists on the label included the late Jonathan Powell and Donna Amato.
