Darlene Koldenhoven’s A Grand Memoir Garners Multiple International Music Awards - Bergen Record

グラミー賞受賞アーティストであるダーリーン・コルデンホーヴェンの最新ソロピアノプロジェクト『A Grand Memoir』が、米国内外の音楽団体から賞を獲得し、高い評価を得ている。

2026年9月6日、コルデンホーヴェンは「Indie Music Channel Awards」にて5つの賞を受賞した。アルバム収録曲「Jacaranda Joy」で「Best Easy Listening Songwriter」、「Le Petit Carrousel」で「Best Easy Listening Female Artist」に選ばれたほか、自身の回想録『Put Your Dress Down and Sing – A Memoir』のオーディオブック版における音楽制作が評価され、「Best Spoken Word Producer」「Best Spoken Word Artist」「Best Spoken Word Recording」を受賞した。

『A Grand Memoir』はコルデンホーヴェンのソロピアノアルバム第3作であり、自身のレーベル「TimeArt® Recordings」からの14枚目のリリースとなる。アルバムには即興演奏1曲を含む10曲のオリジナル・ニューエイジ／クラシック・クロスオーバー作品が収録されている。

本作は、コルデンホーヴェンの回想録『Put Your Dress Down and Sing: A Memoir』に触発されて制作された。執筆中に見た音楽に満ちた夢が、アルバムの楽曲の着想源となっている。2026年1月22日に、コンサートピアニストが所有していた100年前のスタインウェイ・モデルL（当時の弦と象牙の鍵盤を保持）を使用してライブ録音された。

コルデンホーヴェンはグラミー賞受賞者であり、過去に3度のノミネート経験を持つ。ヤニーの『Live at the Acropolis』でのソプラノソロや、映画『天使にラブ・ソングを…』シリーズでの修道女役としても知られる。2021年にはソロピアノアルバム『The Grand Piano Spa』および『The Grand Piano Spa: Legacy』がビルボードのクラシック・クロスオーバー・チャートでそれぞれ4位と8位を記録した。本作は主要な音楽ストリーミングプラットフォームで配信されており、CDや楽譜も公式サイトで入手可能である。
