The Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo will present Thomas Pasatieri’s chamber opera “Before Breakfast” starting on June 5, 2026.
Presented in the Teatro Estudio, the production stars Costa Rican mezzo-soprano Ana Mora as Charlotte, a woman confronting the emotional deterioration of her marriage.
The work, which is based on the one-act play by Nobel Prize-winning playwright Eugene O’Neill, features a libretto by Frank Corsaro and music by Pasatieri
Mora will be joined by the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of the Bogotá Philharmonic under the musical direction of Rubián Zuluaga. The production is staged by Alejandro Chacón.
There will be additional performances on June 6 and 7, 2026.
