The Nashville Symphony has appointed Mark Cantrell as president and CEO, alongside Leonard Slatkin as music director.
Cantrell is president on the Colorado Symphony in Denver. Before that he was CEO of Florida Orchestra and executive director of the Boston Philharmonic. He played bass trombone for 20 years in the Boston Symphony, Boston Pops, Boston Ballet and Boston Lyric Opera.
