アルバン・ベルクは1935年の夏、ヴェルター湖畔でヴァイオリン協奏曲を作曲しました。これは半世紀前にブラームスが自身の協奏曲を書いた場所の対岸にあたります。現在、バイバ・スクリデがアンドリス・ネルソンス指揮ベルリン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団と共にこの作品を演奏する映像が、デジタル・コンサートホールのサマー・プレイリストにて無料配信されています。（未確認情報）

山田和樹率いるバーミンガム市響がバーゼル公演　ウォルトンはじめ指揮の牽引力が光る

山田和樹が音楽監督を務めるバーミンガム市交響楽団のヨーロッパ・ツアーより、3月17日のバーゼル公演の模様をレポート。ウォルトンの「ポーツマス・ポイント」、モーツァルトのヴァイオリン協奏曲第3番、ムソルグスキー（ラヴェル編）「展覧会の絵」が演奏され、山田の指揮による牽引力が高く評価された。また、チューリヒ歌劇場にて上演されたオルガ・ノイヴィルトの新作オペラ《モンスターズ・パラダイズ》についても触れられており、同劇場の勢いと現代音楽作品の鋭い社会風刺が紹介されている。
